Whether we wanted to put even more colour in BOSS paints?

We’ve been working with BOSS paints for a long time now. Our collaboration started with the quest for new designers for the We Are Colour wallpapers. Next step was P.A.I.N.T.: BOSS paints’ very own paint trade fair.

DIFT organised P.A.I.N.T. in March 2016 at Flanders Expo. After this, we continued working for them: a corporate video and recruitment campaign were next.

Of course. This is how we did it.

Our creative idea for the fair trade was based on a simple quote: "I’ve reached a point in my life where going to the supermarket is a day out.” The event was build around everyday settings (a supermarket, a school, a restaurant, a laboratory, …) that were linked to the different fair themes.

The commercial campaign for this event focused on the everyday life of the painter (with a note-to-self image of date painted on a painter’s hand) and was a true multichannel mix.

Creating an original corporate video isn’t easy. All too soon, you end up with clichés in which talking heads talk about things that were written for them. That’s why we choose a different approach. BOSS paints is a cosy, family-run and warm company. That’s why we choose to film the core of the video on the one location at which a family meets: around the dining table. Eight BOSS paints coworkers and their CEO were invited to join a day of talking about the company, and eating of course.

Paint Pitch

We developed a recruiting campaign for BOSS paints through which we wanted to recruit 20 commercial talents for BOSS paints and Colora. A mix between online advertising and a new approach to recruiting (starting with Job cafés and a real Paint Pitch, in which all selected candidates were inspired ànd interviewed by BOSS paints). The campaign was build on the imagery of the corporate video.

P.A.I.N.T. had 20% more visitors and 30% less no-shows compared to previous editions. In one four Belgian painting companies visited P.A.I.N.T.
