DIFT - Eyes/Nights Only



We created unique concepts for the Biennale Interieur in Kortrijk on several occassions. Club Design (a night club based on design brands) or Interieur Products (a click and mortar shop on the Biennale main stage). Or first big event for the Biennale was Eyes/Nights only, a concept that was exported to Paris too. The challenge of Eyes/Nights only was to create an affordable and inspiring place to sleep for designers and press visiting the Biennale.


Eyes/Nights Only is an exhibition concept by DIFT, based on a hotel set-up. The unique rooms where all designed by different brands and expressed the brands’ vision on a hotel room in a temporary space. During the day, the rooms are an exhibition, at night they’re private hotel rooms.


More than 30 000 visitors dropped by in Kortrijk and the project got a world wide media coverage in (online) magazines like Monocle, Dezee & Elle Decoration Japan. We even made it to the front page of the Swedish magazine Nya Rum.


In Paris we participated at Rue de Flanders, a project to promote Flanders as a touristic destination. Twenty brands and organisations helped creating our temporary hotel.
